  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Strawberries

In a bowl, mix the sliced strawberries with granulated sugar. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.

Precaution: Stir occasionally to ensure even coating of sugar.

Step 2: Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Step 3: Assemble the Trifle

In a trifle dish, layer half of the cubed angel food cake. Spread half of the strawberry jam over the cake, followed by half of the sugared strawberries and half of the whipped cream. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
